Bloody , crappy , two stroke engines ! I have a CY or something and have rebuilt it TWICE and still no go. Re gasketed, ringed and checked everything twice and the thing wont even pop ! I have checked the lines are the right way around , loads of spark but bugger all.
Its not that I have never rebuilt these before a. I have never had a problem with anything else but this has got me stumped.
Did you try putting a small bit of fuel straight into the cumbstion chamber, just to see if it will start for a second. I would suspect carb issues from what you are saying, but I mostly mess with 4 stroke ride on mower engines.
I am a mad RC loving lawn mower racing lunatic with a desire for over-powered RC's.
check the pulse hole in the carb and insulator are not blocked mate, also take bottom plate off the carb and check that the diaphragm aint split or deformed as well, and that theres no crap in the little screen filter in there or a jammed needle valve either,
How’d you get on? Did it ever run in the end? In all the years I’ve used petrol engines the problems have always carburration. Mostly split diaphragm.. in the end I just swap out the carb without screwing around anymore and they always fire up straight away. Such simple engines
