Oh, ok. Not the best of timing. Typical, hope it all sorts itself out and everything is fine. That is a real bargain at £17 (or whatever it was) if it included all the electrics as well. I must say I almost went for the 250, but at the moment I need to be sensible with money. I need to save up a bit for university and I would like a real car in the next few years so a quad will have to wait. Maybe one day I will though.
I am a mad RC loving lawn mower racing lunatic with a desire for over-powered RC's.
Ta matey. Off home this morning, see what's going on. You'll have a quad Mat, sooner than you think probably! With it being a new venture for me in RC, I've never really looked at them as I know they're quite pricey, and when it was pointed out to me how cheap this particular one was compared to their RRP, I grabbed it while I could.
The setups pretty easy matey once you find out what software is on ie baseflight, betaflight, cleanflight etc theres a few and you can reflash and change over I started on baseflight and moved to cleanflight in the end as it had more options once you can everything connected ie tx and rx and can see the movement sider move in the software your off and away, tbh I only use one toggle switch on my dx6 for flight modes there usually along the lines of
safe mode/angle mode = (usually for gps quads which steers by the direct you take off if that makes sense) as the nighthawk doesn't come with gps you wont have to worry to much, but that mode wont let you over flip the quad so you go full throw on the sticks without fear of planting in it into the floor lol
rate mode = will allow you to flip if you go full throw on the sticks but will still stabilize the quad to help you fly (always got on well in that mode tbh my fav)
acro mode aka pro mode = now this is the pro mode no stabilization all at full stick throw will flip its a great mode for fast trick flying etc
cant really advise which mode to start with tbh I learnt in rate mode and was careful not to push the throw too much I did fly in acro mode for a while but went through a lot more props and crashes haha but the speed is insane and addictive!!!
best to build your confidence and end up in acro mode in the end it will take time but do what you feel comfortable with trust me once you get up there and see the views you will be hooked and probally own about 5 quads in a few months
little tip when ever connected to use the software ALWAYS remove the props!!! you cant buy 7 finger gloves lol
