Should be good to go matey if you already got a tx and rx etc just install the rx in quad when it arrives and hook it up to the app for either cleanflight or betaflight ( I use the chrome app version on the pc) maye need to buy a dongle lead which goes from the flight controller to pc etc I just use my old Samsung one. 5 inch props should be good on there bro that's what I use if u get stuck for batteries or props give me a shout got a good few here
Mate you're a star! I've got several small 2S and 3S lipo's here, but no props. I'll need to figure out what would fit those particular motors. Hope you won't the flurry of daft questions coming your way from me in the next few weeks lol..
not sure if 2s would work as I only ever used 3s but that quad you bought should do 3 and 4s etc when I first started using the nighthawk I had loads of those turnigy 2200mah 3s cheap as chips on hobbyking etc but for more acro flying I lost some wieghtt on the battery size and went down to 1550mah 3s which is about the sweet spot for 5 inch quads mate.
think runtime wise was getting 8-10mins on the 2200mah 3s and 5mins on the 1550mahs a lot more punch on the 1550mah though at found at first having a bit more flytime was better than having the extra ommph til I got the hang of flying etc have a rad up on different flight modes too then you can decide which way you wanna go with flying and aid from the flight controller
Nice one, I've got a few 3S 2200mah batteries here which should work fine then. I'm not after mad aerobatics or anything like that just yet, just getting up off the ground and landing with it still in one piece will be suffice for me lol.. From reading the product report I think it more or less came with everything bar the receiver and props. Unless there's more electronic gizmo's needed?! It also says it's missing the USB port.... at first I wondered, "Why would it need a USB port?". I ended up buying it anyway a moment later thinking nothing of it. Then reading your other post above you mentioned some software which I'd need to plug in...and do some magic with!? I'm chuckling to myself at the mo thinking this is gonna end in disaster. I've got a quadcopter which my wife bought me a few years back, nothing like this though. When I flew that I took several branches off the tree in the garden and almost killed the poor dog with it, spent ages trying to trim it so it became stable lol.. I never did master it. My plan was to use it to film other RC's making videos, a different view. Hopefully this one will behave for me!
I've watched numerous review vids of the Nighthawk 280 now, every one is positive which is comforting. I'm wondering if I'm going to need the USB port for what I'm intending the drone to be used for, mainly another camera view for making car RC vids, but also easy-going FPV flights. Seen some racing vids too lastnight, OMG! They're like Jedi's the lot of em lol.. Crazy reactions - and they're mostly all young teenagers who take part in the high end competitions. Good reflexes and hand-eye coordination, the ability in their minds to coordinate that movement is unreal.
HA! Class, Streethawk music lol... Yeah I'm looking forward to trying it with the Foxeer on and some FPV flight. I always use my phone to make RC vids as there's the Perfect Video ap on it, it's so easy to use, and excellent quality from the phones camera too. So using the Foxeer may pose a problem of transferring the footage from SD card to the phone. I might have to copy the file several times and break down the footage into smaller files so I can email it across, I should be able to upload that onto my phones photo album then n use it.
